Meet Kazi Manam Ahmed

A Bangladeshi singer whose songs carry quiet emotions and honest memories, inviting you into his world.

His Music
Experience

Coming from a family involved in music, Manam's musical journey started spontaneously. He was only 8 years old when he first started singing and playing Tabla. Few years later he grew interest in guitar and kept on learning. After his SSC in 2005 he started his first band with friends, genre being metal, named 'Knightlord', where he played role as guitarist and vocal. Later he joined another metalcore band 'cranial shadow'. He also played important role in the band 'Theatrical' as both guitarist and backup vocal. Throughout the process he kept developing his skills and few years later he joined 'The trap' as main vocal. Though he had special interest in metal he also learned indian classical music from his father. His family has always been very supportive.

Journey with ONIBARJO:

While working with 'The trap', Manam started working with De-illumination in early 2016 as guest voice. This is the period when ONIBARJO was being conceptualized and Shams, Mithu and Anabeel were looking for a male voice who is adept in both rock and Indian classical singing styles. Manam proved to be suitable choice and after a series of jam sessions he got selected for the position.

Music inspiration:

His father has been his greatest music inspiration. Some of his favourite bands include Metallica, Pink floyd, Dream theater, Sting etc.
